She was a very special person & I always felt pleased that the way we met was walking our dogs. In fact, it all started because her Great Dane (Zara?) ran up to me & put her huge paws on my shoulders! We walked each morning (often with another lady whose name I forget) & put the world to rights & talked about each others’ lives. Later after she moved we met up a little less frequently each week, again to walk our dogs. Yes, she had certainly had a very exciting & unconventional earlier life – I really wish I had met her in earlier times! An early memory is when I dragged several of my friends, including Roy & Georgie, on a coach trip to Paris arranged by my French conversation teacher. We all had a hilarious time with many adventures. On the way home, poor Roy was concerned as someone sat on his carefully chosen French cheeses! A less pleasurable occasion was when she had knocked her head on a car door – resulting in my taking her to the Hospital – she then had to go on to the Atkinson Morley, poor love.
